October Istanbul Meetup | Unifying the Umma amidst Deep Differences with Shaykh Dr. Haitham al Haddad.
The Umma today faces significant divisions that risk escalating into conflict and jeopardizing peaceful coexistence. These differences among Muslims, whether related to their religious identity or shaped by factors like ethnicity, class, language, and nationality, need careful attention. It is crucial for scholars to explore the appropriate institutional and discursive frameworks to address these challenges. In his talk, Shaykh Haitham guides us on how we can imagine bold, innovative, and authentic solutions to foster peaceful coexistence among Muslims, despite the diversity of our differences.
