The Ummatic Method: Towards a Shared Public Sphere

Description

Dr. Ovamir Anjum presents his talk, “The Ummatic Method: Towards a Shared Public Sphere”,—a discussion for revival and reform that underpins Ummatics’ discourse and projects, fostering discursive integration of the Umma and creating a global public sphere where Muslims can collaborate and engage meaningfully. Central to this vision are Globally Empowered Muslims (GEMs), individuals with the intellectual, social, and economic capacity to bridge divides and advance unified narratives. GEMs play a key role in overcoming fragmentation, promoting solidarity, and enabling constructive dialogue across the global Muslim community. The seminar will illustrate how the Ummatic Method empowers Muslims to transcend differences, share knowledge, and develop coordinated responses to contemporary challenges. By establishing a shared public sphere, this approach aspires to cultivate a cohesive, empowered Umma that confidently engages in global discourse while staying rooted in a common faith and purpose.
